A unique and creative design team with over 80 years of combined experience. Stephen leads fireplace and stove sales and handles in-home measurements; Karen keeps the business running day to day — and you’ll usually find one of them at the front of the showroom.

Been with Pondside for more than fifteen years, Stacey brings deep kitchen-design experience and a sharp eye for color, texture and how a room really gets used. If you’ve admired a Pondside kitchen, there’s a good chance it started on her screen.

Sara strives to blend timeless design with thoughtful functionality, guided by a genuinely honest and transparent approach. Working closely with every client, she creates spaces that feel both elevated and deeply personal - all backed by quality materials built to stand up to real life.

Since 2004
Karen and Stephen Bradley founded Pondside in 2004, starting out as a custom cabinet shop in Chester. Over the years the business grew into what it is today — a full-service kitchen, countertop and fireplace showroom on Main Street in Deep River.
The mission has never changed: bring warmth to the whole home with beautiful, thoughtfully designed kitchens and fireplaces at realistic, affordable pricing. Stephen leads fireplace and stove sales; Karen keeps the business running day to day; and our design team carries kitchen and bath projects from the first sketch through the final measure.
Upon visiting the store you'll meet the owners themselves, our design team — Stacey Dady and Sara Decker — and, more than likely, Cinder and Mariner, our four-legged welcoming committee. That's the whole team, and it's why the experience feels personal.
Our Deep River showroom fills a classic New England house with working kitchen displays, a Granite Room of slabs and samples, and a hearth room where stoves burn live so you can feel the heat for yourself.
When a project calls for something truly one-of-a-kind — a hutch, a wall unit, an odd corner solved beautifully — our fully custom lines are built to your exact dimensions in the wood, door style and finish you choose. If you can picture it, we can have it made.
