Find the Right Fire

  • Wood stoves & inserts. Our specialty. Rustic charm and serious heat — and a wood insert is the classic cure for an old, drafty fireplace.
  • Gas stoves & fireplaces. Instant, thermostat-ready warmth with no wood pile. New gas fireplace installations available.
  • Pellet stoves. Efficient, cleaner-burning heat with hopper convenience — a favorite for everyday supplemental heating.

Not sure what your chimney or floor plan allows? Bring photos and measurements — or download our measurement sheet before you visit and we'll size it right the first time.

Come Feel the Heat

Eighteen stoves and fireplaces are on display in our Deep River hearth room, and several burn live — so you can compare the glow of soapstone, cast iron and steel with your own eyes before you decide. Shop local with a family-owned business and experience the difference personal service makes.

Beat the fall rush: stove season in Connecticut starts earlier than you think — the best selection and installation slots go in late summer. Visit in the off-season and your new stove will be ready for the first cold snap.

Professional Installation

Correct installation is critical for a stove to run safely and efficiently. We work with fully licensed and insured local installers who handle everything from hearth pads and venting to the final safety check. Prefer your own installer? That's fine too — we'll supply the specs.
